Design application instructions for our crafty customers!
Care instructions for your design:
Until you're ready to use your designs, store them flat to ensure they hold their shape and prevent elements from moving. Designs should be used within 6 months of purchase.
Care instructions for your item after application:
After being pressed, your items may be washed inside/out in a normal cycle. Follow washing instructions on your garment tag. Air dry or low heat is recommended.
How to apply using a home iron*
- Heat home iron to High/Cotton setting (NO STEAM).
- Peel white Backing from design (use tweezers to move/reposition any out-of-place stone).
- Place the garment on a stable and sturdy surface as flat as possible, with no wrinkles or gaps.
- A towel under your garment is recommended if the elements of the design are of different size/height.
- Place design in desired location on garment; if not pleased with initial placement, carefully peel the design off to adjust positioning.
- If the garment/accessory is "thin material", a thin barrier in-between the two layers of the garment/accessory is recommended (wax paper, cotton cloth, aluminum foil, Teflon, etc.); this is to prevent the glue of the stones from melting onto the second layer of material.
- Place thin barrier (wax paper, cotton cloth, aluminum foil, Teflon, etc.) over design.
- Press iron over the entire design area for approximately 10 seconds per press (but DO NOT RUB, simply raise and lower the iron over the design with LIGHT PRESSURE).
- Remove iron and gently rub design with a cloth hand towel (particularly important for designs with different size/height elements).
- Let the design cool and slowly peel off the clear film.
- If any elements move or do not stick to garment, simply reheat.
How to apply using a Heat-Press machine*
- Heat machine to 350° F.
- Place the garment on the machine as flat as possible, with no wrinkles or gaps.
- Peel white Backing from design (use tweezers to move/reposition any moved stone).
- Press for approximately 12 seconds with 40lbs of pressure.
- After pressing, gently rub design with a cloth hand towel (particularly important for designs with different size/height elements).
- Let the design cool and slowly peel off the clear film.
- If any elements move or do not stick to garment, simply reheat.
(*) Recommendations for application of heat transfers are based on our team's experience. Shop Isaac's Designs has no control over conditions of storage, equipment, or substrate; therefore, pre-testing and pressing is the responsibility of the buyer.
